For me, the purpose of photography is to take the viewer on a journey: to capture the imagination and create a sense of awe for the world around. From the salt flats of Bolivia, to the vast deserts of the Middle East, to the soaring peaks of Alaska, and back to the plains of Colorado - the world is incredible! There is of course no substitute for actually being there, but I hope these photos will open your imagination to the world.

In the past 4 years I have been lucky enough to visit over 40 different countries around the world. Most are represented on this site.

The camera used is mostly irrelevant. Great photographs are made by shooting in great light, with great composition. Some of these pictures were taken with a $500 "point & shoot," and others with as much as $5000 worth of professional equipment. I bet you can't tell the difference.
